About HolidayCookTimer

Simple tools for the busiest cooking days of the year.

Why we built this

Every year, millions of people cook one big meal they only make once a year. The hardest part usually isn't the cooking. It's the timing: when to start thawing, when the bird goes in, and how to have everything hot at the same moment.

HolidayCookTimer turns that into a simple plan. You tell us what you're cooking and when you want to eat, and we work backward from there.

Who we are

HolidayCookTimer is built by Keen Pilot Labs, a small studio in Northeast Ohio that makes practical, easy-to-use web tools. Our founder spent years running coffee cafés and working in hospitality, where timing a kitchen is everything.

Where our numbers come from

Our thawing and roasting times follow guidance from the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service. Ovens and birds vary, so our times are always estimates. The final word is a food thermometer reading of 165°F (74°C).

What's next

We started with the turkey planner, then added a ham timer, a prime rib planner, a sides-and-pies planner and an everyday kitchen timer. More are on the way.
