Pick a preset from the drop-down or type your own minutes. Each timer runs on its own, and an alarm sounds when one finishes. Keep this page open, and turn your volume up. On an iPhone, the silent switch can mute the alarm.

A kitchen timer for every step
Holiday cooking usually means several things happening at once: rolls in the oven, potatoes on the stove and the turkey resting on the counter. Instead of juggling your phone's single timer, start one timer for each dish and give it a name so you always know which alarm is which.
Handy times to know
| Task | Typical time |
|---|---|
| Proofing bread dough (first rise) | 1–2 hours, until doubled |
| Second rise (shaped loaf or rolls) | 30–60 minutes |
| Hard-boiled eggs (after water boils) | 10–12 minutes |
| Potatoes for mashing (cubed, simmering) | 15–20 minutes |
| Resting a whole turkey | 20–30 minutes |
| Resting a roast | 15–30 minutes |
| Resting a steak | 5–10 minutes |
